Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Skip-the-Line Tickets

These Vatican Museums tickets give you skip-the-ticket-line entry to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel on the date and at the time you choose. You check in with our staff at Via degli Scipioni 9, near the Vatican, and then visit on your own, at your own pace.

If you would like an audio guide, ask for it when you check in. You collect it at the Pioneer Tours desk inside the Museums.

Official tickets or skip-the-line tickets?

The Vatican Museums also sell tickets on their own website. Our tickets cost more because they include a reserved entry time booked for you, check-in with our staff, and an audio guide if you want one. If the official website shows no availability for your date, check the calendar on this page.

Good to know before your visit

• Bring a passport or ID card, especially for children and students.
• Dress code: no shorts, short skirts or sleeveless tops.
• Tickets are valid only for the date and time slot you book. Entry at a different time is not allowed, so please arrive on time.
• Everyone passes airport-style security. In high season this can take more than 30 minutes.
• Youth tickets are for ages 7 to 18 with a valid ID. Children under 7 enter free with an ID.
• Visitors with a disability and one companion enter free with a disability certificate, shown at the Special Permits or Reception desk in the museum hall.
• St. Peter’s Basilica and St. Peter’s Square may be closed in the morning for papal audiences.
• Opening hours can change because of special events. June, July and August are the busiest months.

Questions before you book

Is the Sistine Chapel included?

Yes. The ticket covers the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, which you reach towards the end of the museum route.

How long does the visit take?

Plan about 2 hours. Your ticket sets your entry time only; once inside, you can stay until the Museums close.

Is St. Peter’s Basilica included?

Are the Vatican Museums open on Sundays?

The Museums are closed on Sundays, except the last Sunday of the month, and on some religious holidays. The booking calendar on this page shows the dates you can book.

What should I wear?

Cover your shoulders and knees. Shorts, short skirts and sleeveless tops are not allowed.
